OUR SOLDIERS.
Among those killed in action appears in the 59th casualty list, the name of Private J. A. Bourke, 25 years of age, 7th Battalion, Wallan. Private Bourke was in the employ of Mr Copeland, butcher, Kerang, when he enlisted. He was a member of the Presbyterian choir. His father, Mr. J. Bourke, lives at 364 Lygon-st., East Brunswick. A fact worth noting is that Privates Anderson and J. A. Bourke (killed), W. A. Stewart (reported missing) and J. Malcolm (wounded) were all at various times connected with the choir of the Presbyterian Church. An in memoriam service in connection with the death of Private Bourke will be held in St. Andrew's Church on Sunday morning.
