08/08/1918 Killed in action, just after an advance through Morcourt, the Somme, France. Two of his mates buried him in the field, just where he fell. Afterwards a temporary cross was erected on his grave. His final resting place is Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres, France

Historical Note from CWGC.org: Harbonnieres was captured by French troops in the summer of 1916. It was retaken by the Germans on 27 April 1918, and regained by the Australian Corps on 8 August 1918, the same day Arch was killed. Buried: Heath Cemetery Harbonnieres, France
