                        (We each must be one);
N         is for Needles,
                        Whose work has begun
I           is for Interest,
                        (Which makes us take part);
T          are the Troops
                        So dear to each heart.
T          are the “Trench Feet”
                        We won’t let them feel
E          is the Effort
                        For War Chest Appeal.
R          is the Rhyme
                        We must write to each boy;
S          are the Socks
                        Which bring him such joy
